The number of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia continue to grow each year as the size and proportion of the US population age 65 and older continue to increase. Many specialized memory care units are needed as the baby boom generation ages. The Cottages at Salem are unique in that we provide all the benefits of assisted living and are solely dedicated to memory care. The ratio of 1 caregiver to 7 elders allows more interaction and assistance with each individual.
At The Cottages at Salem, individuals are able to move throughout the bright and engaging community. Our memory care neighborhood provides a safe and secure atmosphere with many therapy and club programs. We will offer music, art, health, and pet therapy as well as many social club programs to prevent boredom and promote social interaction. Our programs and services are designed with each individuals’ abilities and passions in mind. We strive to provide new learning opportunities and experiences as well as capturing memories of past hobbies and abilities.
